SiwoPUD®-PUD-6991

SiwoPUD®-PUD-6991 is an aliphatic polycarbonate waterborne polyurethane dispersion offering excellent water resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance, and hydrolysis resistance. It is designed for durable water-based coating applications.

PUD-6991 has a solid content of 32±1%, making it suitable for waterborne coating formulations requiring a polyurethane dispersion with moderate solids content.

PUD-6991 has an elongation of 750–850%, tensile strength of 46.8 MPa, and a 100% modulus of 3.9 MPa.

Yes. When a suitable crosslinking agent is added, PUD-6991 provides excellent alcohol-rub resistance, making it suitable for coating applications requiring improved surface durability.

Compared with PUD-6992, PUD-6991 has lower heat resistance and slightly higher surface energy. However, it offers excellent water resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance, and hydrolysis resistance. Both products can be used as topcoats in a wide range of applications.
